Student will develop an understanding of electrical power, physical design, protection, control, and communications systems related to for a variety of substation projects. Responsibilities and skills to be developed include: Understanding engineering drawings and specifications, performing and checking engineering calculations, coordinating information with vendors, performing field site visits, back checking drawings, gaining familiarity with computer software, and general clerk duties. You may be responsible for specific design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Design tasks may be panel wiring drawings, alarm/status schematics for equipment, three-line diagrams, conduit plans, cable schedules or similar. You will be responsible for working independently on assigned tasks and seeking out experienced engineers for answering questions
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Enrolled in BSEE Degree Program at an ABET accredited University
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without requiring sponsorship.
