Use your front end software development expertise to build applications that help the GIS community visualize policy interventions focused on homelessness, housing, and racial equity. As a developer working with the urban planning team, you will extend ArcGIS Urban capabilities through complementary web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Use JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Redux to develop front end applications
- Follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
- Work collaboratively with other team members as well as independently
- Demonstrate latest product capabilities to stakeholders, prospects, and customers
- Leverage the knowledge of your peers to better understand business trends, customer communities, and technology adoption patterns
Requirements:
- 2+ years of front end software development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Redux
- Proficiency with HTML5, CSS, Node
- Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, NPM, Yarn, Webpack
- Ability to design, implement, and deploy web applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Bachelor’s in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, urban planning, GIS, or a related field
Recommended Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x
- Background in urban planning
