Industry Engagement Support:
Work with the leadership to conduct all aspects of internal and external communications with strategic partners, including Science & Technology staff, DHS component customers, technology developers (national labs, academic institutions, etc.), and private industries.

Specific Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage the primary email inbox used for S&T to communicate with industry by coordinating and responding to industry inquiries, providing written communications with private sector companies, and maintaining distribution lists of industry interested in partnering with S&T.
  • Support the planning and execution of industry outreach events
  • Develop a roadmap for communicating and leveraging assets to inform stakeholders how S&T conducts business.
  • Deploy tactics to engage and openly exchange of information with key individuals and organizations across the stakeholder spectrum.
  • Conduct outreach and provide responses that promote continued communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assess, develop and implement methods to improve current communications tools internally and externally.
  • Educate industry and small businesses to understand DHS S&T needs, how to do business, and where they can support R&D or delivery of technologies to the Department and HSE.
  • Assist in the development event websites and online registration forms
  • Maintain organized and logical files for all necessary data calls, reports, program, and project documentation, including electronic and hard copy

Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
  • 0 - 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to be cleared through DHS suitability
  • Ability to work on multiple projects which includes prioritizing, tracking, attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through to project completion
  • Flexibility and adaptability working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results independently and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships
  • Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills
  • Proficient writer
  • Experience and proficiency working with MS Office (Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint) and collaboration sites (MS SharePoint)
  • Eligibility for a Secret clearance and DHS Suitability

Desired:
  • 1 or more years of relevant experience
  • Secret or higher level security clearance
