Internship Description
HR Directions seeks a prospect for its client RTI International for the Web Developer/Data Visualization Internship within the division in the business unit.

Lab 58 was created as a resource for RTI and its partners to maintain a deep technical understanding of current virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, IoT, and wearable technologies. The lab builds software for immersive technologies and artificial intelligence ranging from rapid prototypes to fully functional frameworks and products.
The Web Developer/Data Visualization Internship will expose the selected intern to collaborating with Lab 58 team members to build web applications. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Additional Information
This virtual, paid internship will take place from early June through late August 2020. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, not to exceed 40 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language such as HTML/CSS, PHP, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to document code and workflows in a clear and efficient manner.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and develop code with other developers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with or ability to administer teams with Github and Jira.
  • Experience with cloud platforms including, Azure, Amazon, and Google.

The Web Developer/Data Visualization Internship will expose the selected intern to collaborating with Lab 58 team members to build web applications. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Writing well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Creating website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Integrating data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Creating and maintaining software documentation.
  • Researching and suggesting new mobile products, applications and protocols.
