Internship description:
Garver’s Water Design Center, a concentrated group of experts in water treatment facility planning and design, is seeking an BIM/CAD intern to join our team in College Station, Texas. This intern will gain real-world experience in design while working in a fast-paced, professional setting. Join our group of professionals who are working with communities throughout the region and are developing solutions for their water needs.
This internship will also allow a student to:
  • Develop 3D Revit models
  • Create plans, sections, and details in Revitand AutoCAD software
  • Work as a team player with a group of technicians and designers, of various levels and disciplines (process, structural, mechanical, electrical etc.) and working with Project Managers and design teams to execute projects
  • Arrange necessary resources for file sharing and communication to effectively share design files across the company or with clients, sub consultants, and contractors
  • Maintain strong communication with engineers and project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects and avoid any potential project conflicts
  • QA/QC and ensure that all projects adhere to company CAD/BIM standards
Requirements:
  • Computer aided drafting and Revit training and/or experience with a design team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
  • Associate’s degree in CAD/BIM or similar 2-year degree
  • Industrial or commercial design experience
