Business Internship

The intern will obtain practical work experience through observing and performing responsibilities that assist the HR team. The HR team includes a director, a senior HR Generalist and two HR Generalists.
The Human Resources Intern may perform the following duties:
  • Recruiting
    • Assist with scheduling and facilitating interviews.
    • Assist with sourcing candidates and resume reviews.
    • Build-out of resume and correspondence storage.
  • Training and Development
    • Maintain attendance
    • Assist with weekly summer lecture series presentations.
  • Projects
    • Research - recruiting options, college and high school career fairs, diversity, volunteer opportunities.
    • Organize HR metrics
    • Create documentation for HR processes.
    • Complete employee file audit.
  • Benefits
    • Assist with 401k audit
  • Events
    • Assist with summer event.
  • Administrative tasks (filing, scanning, personnel file organization)
Through this internship, an intern will:
  • Develop a strong understanding of what HR is and what HR does.
  • Learn the importance of compliance.
  • Learn the recruiting cycle.
  • Gain a good foundation for how an HRIS works and how it serves such an important role for an HR department.
  • Learn about the investment consulting.
  • Work as a team and learn more about team dynamics.
