  • Full database creation – create MS Access databases from scratch
  • Modify database – transform MS Access databases as per specs/requirements
  • Transform Excel programs to Access databases
  • Upgrade MS Access DBs to more recent versions of Access
  • Reports - Create/modify
  • Forms - Create/modify
  • Queries - Create/modify
  • Tables – Create/modify
  • VBA – Coding
  • Quality control testing
  • Work with other team members from business and IT groups for large projects
  • Speak with/email business colleagues to understand their needs
  • Documenting and updating Requirements
  • Create manuals and other support documents

You are best equipped for this job if you have:

  • 3 years experience with MS Access database
  • Experience connecting MS Access to external RDBMS databases like SQL or ORACLE

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently while managing your own time and providing time estimates and status updates
  • Comfort and ease when dealing with large groups of people
  • Be able to adapt and quickly develop an understanding of new/different applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of operating software products
  • Basic understanding of systems analysis and design
  • Basic understanding of most commonly used coding languages
