Description

The Junior Web Developer will work with digital and events teams to produce high quality and performance applications of all Children's National Hospital Foundation web properties.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree - in computer sciences or a related major (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
4 years - Related experience. (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Good knowledge of HTML, CSS/SASS, Javascript, Git, JQuery and Angular
Experience working with a CMS, SiteCore experience is a plus
Experience working with a CRM, BlackBaud Luminate Online experience is a plus
Photoshop, Adobe Dream Weaver and MS Visual Studio
Graphic design experience a plus
Proven ability to hit deadlines with minimum supervision
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Strong time management skills
Juggle various projects and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Able to work on initiatives independently as well as in a team environment

Functional Accountabilities

Produce high quality and performance applications
1. Optimizes user experience of current web pages
2. Suggests and makes improvements to existing web properties
3. Creates and maintains online donation forms and surveys
4. Works with web development team to keep certificates, servers and software packages up to date
5. Maintains the current foundation website
6. Plans for, develops, and maintains new digital features for the foundation website
7. Debugs issues that arise with the performance of the company global web properties
8. Works closely with the design, events and marketing teams to execute and maintain a consistent image across all platforms
9. Interfaces with multiple departments and vendors to evaluate individual project needs and develop new digital features to diagnose and help correct performance issues
10. Assists in monitoring company website content of both text and graphics, suggesting and creating updates and improvements as needed
11. Monitors new technologies in the web development space to suggest new frameworks and platforms to improve web properties
