Pika Energy, a subsidiary of Generac Power Systems, seeks a summer intern to support the company’s launch into innovative and exciting new utility programs designed to reduce peak summer demand on the electric grid. The internship has a flexible spring start date (April - May) and ends August 28th, 2020 with option to continue internship through month of September.
This position will be based in Westbrook, Maine.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate execution of utility demand response events with Generac Clean Energy sales and software team

Track weekly performance of all Generac solar-and-storage sites enrolled in utility demand response programs using proprietary software platform

Analyze results of Generac PWRcell customers across different pilot DR programs to develop recommended process changes and new product features and present to the Generac sales and software teams

Other projects may include:
Assist Generac Clean Energy Inside Sales team in on-boarding new installation partners

Develop installer education materials around utility energy storage programs

Research new utility programs to assess future opportunities and product requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Junior level standing in an accredited four year program

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the residential solar industry

Customer service experience

Experience in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated interest in distributed energy systems such as photovoltaic and energy storage technology
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
