We are currently seeking a Corporate Communications Intern at our headquarters location in Chandler, Arizona. This internship is a compensated, part-time position during the 2020 summer (20-30 hours/week). It is an opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate majoring in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field to work with a small, but ambitious, corporate communications team. This individual will participate in a wide range of external and internal communications activities throughout the organization.
Primarily a supportive role to the Corporate Communications Director and Marketing Communications Manager, specific work may include:
Aid in content/design development of marketing materials
Assist with website content administration and editing/proofreading
Post website content and imagery through a Content Management System (CMS)
Review and monitor social media content for LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
Work closely with cross-functional departments/business units and outside partner agencies
Assist with creation and distribution of internal emails, news stories, blogs, signage, videos, etc.
Publish assets to Rogers’ intranet through an online administrative tool
Support implementation of employee engagement campaigns
Help plan company events and internal meetings

Required Education and Experience:
Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
Experience editing/proofreading/creating content for the web, social platforms and/or publications
Familiar with social media best practices and channel strategies
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with Photoshop, Survey Monkey, WebEx and CMS platforms a plus, but not required
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organized, dependable and detail oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
