Software Engineer Internship

Software Engineer Interns work with Engineers to design, implement, test, and maintain ASI's flagship software product, Mobius Command & Control Software, to meet client needs and advance robotics technologies. Mobius software engineers participate in the full life cycle of software and/or hardware development and help determine project architecture and requirements. June 2020 to mid-August 2020.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a team of software engineers to add functionality and improve and upgrade Mobius software product applications
  • Write understandable C# code
  • Write detailed technical specifications for new features
  • Maintain and extend developer documentation
  • Work with customers to ensure end product meets expectations
  • Write unit-level tests and assist in specifying and creating integration tests

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE, AND JOB SKILLS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or related field. Prefer completion of junior year of Bachelor's or Graduate student.
  • Experience in: C# mandatory; experience in Python, C++ or PHP a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Pragmatic trouble shooting approach to problems
  • Able to work effectively in both independent, team, and multiple team situations
  • Troubleshooting skills and techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis
  • Understanding of API coding and multi-system integration
  • Understanding of geometry, trigonometry, matrix transforms, and general linear algebra
  • MS Windows development including .NET, WPF, WCF, and/or DirectX
  • Proficient with MS Visual Studio
  • Experience in TCP and UDP protocols, UI development, and database communications
