What you’ll do

Purpose of the Role

The summer intern program gives a unique introduction to GKN Driveline in North Carolina and Allows you to Participate in the fast-paced world of automotive manufacturing. This program will involve you in the problem-solving opportunities as well as the continuous improvement mindset of the company. Participation will allow you to learn day to day Human Resources service delivery within an operations environment and gain knowledge through special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for performing tasks using HR applications and procedures in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Assisting HR and operations staff with various project duties. Specific assignments and project work will vary.
  • Collaborating with most functional business areas and business processes.
  • This internship will provide support for the business and the production floor while encouraging learning participation through hands on experience under guidance or input from others.

About you


  • The position is open to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors and requires an active college status, pursuit of a degree in a relevant discipline with intent to continue education toward a bachelors or higher degree.
  • You must have proven problem-solving ability and will need to be able to speak and write in English fluently.
  • Experience with personal computer hardware and software applications is also required.
  • This position will require you to gain knowledge of manufacturing.
