Software Engineer Internship

As a Software Engineer, Intern – Front-end on the Genesys Cloud team, you will integrate with a highly skilled team to deliver new features in our product. You will get the chance to work on a modern thick client application, utilizing technologies such as Emberjs, LESS, bootstrap, WebRTC and more. You'll get the chance to participate in a high energy development environment that ships great software while also maintaining a laid-back culture. This position is located in our Durham, NC office.


Responsibilities / Job Duties:

  • Our team focuses on developing the primary web client used in the Genesys Cloud product.

  • In this role the primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Work with team members to help design, develop, and test features that meet the business needs of our customers and exhibit features that include high scalability, availability and reliability.

  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and acceptance tests.

  • Perform collaborative code reviews with other developers.

  • Understand & comply with HIPAA Security and Privacy Laws.

  • Adhere to Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

  • Have Fun.


Required Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.

  • Interest in learning new technologies to integrate with current application stacks.

  • Experience with web related technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.

  • Experience with client MVC frameworks such as Ember or Angular.
