JOB SUMMARY:

  • This Job is a Paid internship for full time work for 10 weeks.
  • Will be assigned a project-focused opportunity as a Java Microservices Developer Analyst Intern working with our Cloud Business Services Team. You will also work directly with an Intern Coordinator and Sponsor.
  • The ideal candidate for this internship would be interested in interested in Microservices architecture and design principles and Cloud based architecture solutions.
  • This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing industry.
  • The internship program also provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching and fun, local activities.

CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION:

  • This is a junior entry level position where the incumbent is required to have a basic knowledge of Information Technology.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Limited understanding of technical aspects of job.
  • Will learn job skills and become familiar with company policies through 'on-the-job' training.

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:

  • Involves routine tasks of limited scope associated entirely with the role.
  • Works on clearly defined tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 18 Years of Age
  • College Junior or Senior
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Authorized to Work in the United States

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating technology for customers in e-commerce and web services. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, documents changes, and tests/debugs programs. Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.

  • Participate as a member of the scrum team in sprint planning and backlog grooming, including activities such as systems analysis, developing code, developing test strategy, executing unit test, verifying and documenting results, communicate and capture design ideas
  • Plans, conducts, directs and approves the analysis of business and/or operational problems to be solved with automated systems/applications
  • Reviews and challenges functional requirements
  • Develops and implements technical requirements
  • Adheres to system design patterns and coding standards
  • Create technical methodologies/documents for engineering solutions
  • Evaluate new technologies with team members and develop proof of concepts/prototypes
  • Sets standards while designing integrated and reusable solutions
  • Adheres to standards and processes outlined for work tracking tools such as JIRA up to date
  • Report weekly status to next level supervisor
  • Demonstrate flexibility in meeting important customer deliverables
  • Understand business and operational requirements for system support and translate them into appropriate systems/application design needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a medium and large team environment, multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates and strive for results
  • Knowledge of Azure and Google Cloud Services or concepts
