Job Description:

This junior role will interact with users across the organization to create and understand business processes and opportunities for improved efficiency, accuracy or other outcome, and propose software solutions to address these opportunities. Job responsibilities will include understanding user workflows, documenting requirements, development of integrations with purchased solutions via API or development of custom solutions, working with users to ratify and test solutions, training and support of end users who are learning to use tools, and support and maintenance of the supplied solutions. This is a junior position that will have access to regular supervision and offers the opportunity to learn and grow in various aspects of software development.


Duties and Responsibilities:

50% Develop or modify software custom solutions or integrations as needed. Work with users to understand and clearly document purpose and requirements, test and validate accuracy of solution and deploy solutions on time. This includes training and support of end users.

20% Develop manual and automated tests to ensure new and existing software is functioning as intended and to documented specifications

10% Documentation of solutions environment, solutions created, and training/user guides and resources to facilitate end users and analysts around the organization with self-service. Maintain and upkeep of existing documentation.

10% Assist other IT teams in providing appropriate integration or coding support to ERP or BI projects.

10% Participate in coding standards and enterprise architecture activities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology
  • Demonstrated capability (experience or coursework) to develop end user software, preferably creating data centric apps using Java, JavaScript, Python, C#
  • Knowledge of SQL is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with development environments (code control and deployment tools, monitoring tools, development studios)
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and SDLC

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate in person and on the telephone. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel in order to operate computer keyboard, office equipment, and other essential tasks. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. This position infrequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is standard for office space.
