About our Career Accelerator Program (CAP)
The Career Accelerator Program at PagerDuty offers an opportunity for participants, to learn and build meaningful skills at PagerDuty. Whether you’re enrolled in a post-secondary institution, completed a coding bootcamp, or returning to work after a gap in employment, CAP can provide up to 16 weeks of hands-on experience in a high growth tech company. Through a variety of networking, learning, and mentoring opportunities, our CAP program fast tracks participants for an exceptional career and can serve as a gateway to permanent employment at PD.

CAP has three cohorts each year beginning in January (Winter), May (Summer) and September (Fall) and participants are paid competitively in their respective industries.

This is a 4 month role for the Summer 2020 term. The term begins on May 4, 2020 and ends on August 28, 2020.

How You Contribute to Our Vision

  • You will work jointly with the PagerDuty Product and Community teams on an exciting project where you will be integral in reviewing app submissions from PagerDuty partners
  • You will help prepare and migrate app listings in preparation for the launch of a new app listings catalog
  • You will publish updates to our API and app development tools change log
  • You will research and help to plan a new security review program
  • You will help to draft and deliver a quarterly email to the PagerDuty developer community
  • You will own relationships with partner developers and provide support during the app review and development process
  • You will compile research and feedback from app developers to improve app review process and tooling
  • You will work to improve documentation for app developers

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have great written and verbal communication skills
  • You are detail-oriented and and have a customer-first mindset
  • You have a basic understanding of APIs

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have participated in or helped manage a community
  • You have submitted an app for publishing in an ecosystem
  • You have published writing samples; such as how-to articles, documentation, videos, tutorials, etc.
  • You are comfortable writing simple code samples, which leverage RESTful APIs
