Commerce Bank is looking for a Summer Intern for our Business Intelligence Analysis team at our Clayton location. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide variety of responsibilities and learning opportunities.

You will first be introduced to our Teradata Data Warehouse and primary data marts that are used for reporting & analytical needs. You will then help the Data Management team with data quality metrics, documentation and tracking key items that require maintenance or fixes. You will also help research data quality issues and ensure maintenance requirements are fixed as per specifications. Over the course of this internship, you will learn data mart design principles, data models, data relationships, mapping & transformation and how various business rules are implemented to help with the Bank’s BI and Analytical needs. You will also help Data Management team with report maintenance using Business Objects and PowerBI. There will also be opportunities to work with Business Objects universes and for creating reports. Be prepared to be exposed to a variety of tools and database infrastructures.
Internship will occur from June – July. Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm.

The ideal candidate will be:
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree Program in Computer Science or a related field
  • Proficient in using SQL or be willing to learn SQL for doing ad-hoc analysis on daily basis.
  • Experienced with Python programming (desired but not required)
  • Knowledgeable about reporting tools like Crystal Reports, Business Objects or Microsoft SSRS (desired but not required)
