Job Description

There are two positions available within this department. One will be with Product Support and the other will be with the Reversal Team. Both roles are described below.

Product Support:

Candidate will work with a variety of departments within Transamerica to provide support as needed while learning the basic roles of many functional areas. The internship opportunity is designed to provide a broad understanding of our business model.

  • Work in a transaction processing environment
  • Meet the needs of a variety of client report requests
  • Assist with various compliance, auditor and plan provision inquiries
  • Perform and table inserts and updates to help fix system issues or errors
  • Conduct research to help troubleshoot different errors and find the cause of the issue
  • Perform self quality checks

Education/Experience Preferred

  • Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program, preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Fast paced environment be able to change tasks quickly
  • Strong PC skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft office products such as Word and Excel
  • Understanding of SQL

Reversal Team

Under limited supervision, responsible for correcting and reprocessing incorrect transactions. Incumbent will consult with appropriate parties to determine the most efficient reversal strategy. This position will interfaces with Accounting, Legal, Participant Services to identify, research & correct errors.

  • Works with internal customers to ensure most proper and efficient reversal strategy.
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills to interpret error messages and apply documented error resolution.
  • Conduct error analysis to research nature of errors, identify appropriate resolution and communicate procedures to avoid future errors.
  • Monitor trends to identify potential problem areas and recommend procedures to avoid future errors.
  • Perform self quality checks.
