Software Engineer Internship

As a Software Engineering Intern in Customer Solutions Engineering in at Disney DTCI, you will help build and maintain the highest-scale web applications enjoyed by fans across the globe, and the systems that help create, curate, and deliver content to Disney, ABC, and ESPN products worldwide. You will work with modern web technologies including Javascript, React, Node RESTful APIs, Java, HTML5, and CSS3 to deliver scalable, elegant solutions for new product features and core architecture.

Internship Eligibility
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Dates: The length of this internship is 10 weeks, and the approximate dates are June 8, 2020– August 14, 2020. Interns will work 40 hours.

Location: Bristol, CT

Housing: A limited amount of housing assistance may be available for those who qualify.

Transportation: Limited transportation assistance to and from work may be available for those who qualify.
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate Level student or recent graduate (within 6 months of graduating) pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.
  • Real world exposure to front-end web development
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Must be self-motivated, have a strong team orientation, learn quickly and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Build and maintain new features with the front-end engineering team across Disney, ABC, and ESPN products.
  • Help test and validate product functionality, and contribute to DTCI’s test automation suite
  • Work with senior engineers to implement features following established best practices
  • Partner with other engineering teams to deliver optimal solutions
