New Nurse Grad Department Specific Orientations: This program is designed for you to be hired into a specific department. We offered opportunities in Med/Surg, Step Down Critical Care and the Emergency Department. Periodically we offer New Nurse Grad opportunities in Womens & Childrens Services, Psychiatric Services and Periopertive Services. You will complete a 3 month New Nurse Grad orientation in the department that you have been hired.
Med/Surg Academy: The Med/Surg Academy is designed to give you an opportunity to work in all of the med/surg areas. You will spend the first part of your orientation on one unit before orienting to the other med/surg areas. After you complete your orientation program you will work on multiple units within Med/Surg services. This will give you first-hand experience to help you determine which department you would eventually like to make your home.
Critical Care Step Down Residency Program:
The Critical Care Step Down Residency Program is designed to give you an opportunity to work in all of the step down critical areas. You will be oriented to each of the step down units. After you graduate from the Residency program you will work on multiple units within the service line. This will give you first-hand experience to help you determine which department you would eventually like to make your home.
You will have the opportunity to choose your areas of interest in the application.
Job Summary: To render high reliable nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital. Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care. Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel.
Qualifications: To start work you will need to obtain an RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license. BSN preferred; Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements. Must maintain BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
