Quality Assurance Internship

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Quality Assurance department located at our Fremont, California facility. As an Intern, you will obtain a better understanding of drug substance manufacturing from a Quality Assurance and batch release perspective. This includes an overview of all the deliverables and requirements to successfully release a batch.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Retrieve and prepare batch records for lot disposition
  • Preliminary review and assessment of batch deliverables for lot disposition
  • Copy, scan and upload disposition files to clients and sharerooms
  • Generate process maps of QA core responsibilities, identify areas of potential improvements and efficiencies within the team
  • Manage lot release schedule
  • Standardize training, generate SOPs and work instructions to assist on-boarding process of new employees within the QA department
  • Collaborate with other team members in cross-functional teams


Requirements:


Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • BS or MS candidate in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or related Life Sciences Discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
