The Strategy Analyst Intern, within the Financial Services division, is an extremely data-intensive role, responsible for leveraging analytical insights to influence and drive decision-making for executive leaders. This role is designed for college juniors and/or rising-seniors with aspirations for pursuing a highly-analytical, business-centric career with the opportunity to work alongside experienced peers and mentors, as well as learn technical skills essential to today's data economy, and gain relevant experience to be tomorrow’s business leaders. As such, this position has many features designed to provide an intense, unique understanding of the post-graduate expectations of the job.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for full ownership of 2-3 month project, from initial brainstorming to result driven.
  • Presents findings to senior leadership, to influence decision-making.
  • Researches and understands existing business process, metrics, and opportunities.
  • Develops familiarity with proprietary databases and latest software tools.
  • Utilizes data-centric approach to understand current business conditions, validate existing hypothesis, and discover new veins of exploration.
  • Validates and debugs data-sources in order to establish data credibility.
  • Creates predictive models to emulate customer behaviors and results.
  • Designs framework for A/B testing and monitors results continuously to help optimize
    business strategies.
  • Formulates detailed financial models, to help illustrate the economic impacts of possible
    decision-outcomes
  • Develops key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and business-intelligence reporting for the business to increase visibility for leadership team.
  • Crafts together business narrative, to share findings with senior leadership team and influence decision-making for broader organization.
  • Builds relationships with broader business units, in order to most effectively act as analytical partner and/or consult for business-unit stakeholders.
  • Seeks continuous learning with regard to analytical tools, techniques, and best-practices.
  • Supports recruiting and training initiatives related to analytical team.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.

EXPERIENCE
  • No prior experience or training required.
  • No supervisory experience required.

This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
