Customer Support Internship

The Healthcare Administrative Assistant Paid Internship has the primary responsibility of handing initial customer contact either in person or over the telephone (and at times via the web) under the direct supervision of the Director of Reimbursement or his/her designated representative. These customer contacts may be with the patient, a care giver, a referral source, or a commercial account. The Assistant receives, qualifies, and processes, according to procedure, all customer orders in a timely, efficient, accurate, and courteous manner. The Assistant is often involved in investigating and responding to customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, deliveries and complaints.


Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university in a related major

High School Diploma and/or GED required

Two years of healthcare experience; knowledge of medical terminology

Excellent phone and customer service skills; exceptional keyboarding skills

Ability to multitask
