To drive growth and the future ability of AvidXchange to continue to be a leader in Accounts Payable & Payment Automation we are looking for a DevOps Engineering intern for summer 2020. From June 1st – July 31st you will work with diverse, smart, and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will be challenged to grow, excel, and lead alongside the brightest talent in the industry and be rewarded for your achievements. Internships are offered in several different areas including analytics, sales, process improvement, customer support, etc.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Assist in work to automate AvidXchange metrics collection and reporting
  • Scripting to automate compliance with our branching policies
  • Perform specific updates to pipelines
  • Interns will be allocated time each week to collect as a team and discuss experiences, ideas and learnings
  • Thrive in a team-based atmosphere where the workload is distributed across the team but where success is dependent on each other
  • Be motivated by a fast paced, high volume deadline driven environment
  • At the end of the internship, interns will be responsible for collecting their best suggestions, and presenting conceptual solutions for automation and innovating how we are working with the team to business leaders and executives
Required Skills
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, facilitation, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proactive, accountable, autonomous and solutions oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Docs
  • Exposure to programming languages, preferably C# or Java
  • Exposure to databases preferred
  • Experience with API (RESTful) calls preferred

Required Education
  • All interns must have completed at least two years toward an undergraduate degree
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, major or cumulative
  • All majors are welcome to apply, Computer Science preferred
