Job Description
Sealed Air offers a 12-week paid intern program where individuals gain hands-on experience in their chosen field that will directly impact the business. As a program participant, you will be a fully contributing member of Sealed Air’s HR team for the summer. In addition, the program includes opportunity to present to senior leadership teams, participate in formal training, interact with interns and employees of other departments, and lead campus-wide community service events.

Interns will work out of Sealed Air’s state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC with the opportunity to be a part of our Global HR team that includes:

This specific intern will report to our HR Operations Team. The HR Operations Intern (HR Generalist Intern) will provide support to a wide range of projects focused on process and policy improvements and consistencies across our North America (NA) Supply Chain locations.

Primary focus for the HR Generalist Intern will be on driving operational excellence, compliance, consistency and cost controls related to our engagement practices & recognition, production recruitment, and compensation framework.
Some potential projects in these areas may include:

  • Standardize NA Supply Chain recruitment and on-boarding process by understanding best practices, local and federal compliance and business training needs. Ensure new process is rolled out to sites for consistent application and HR is trained on delivery methods.
  • In partnership with Learning & Development and Supply Chain, understand current employee engagement programs and recognition practices, make standardized recommendations/guidelines and rollout across NA Supply Chain. Develop consistent tracking method to drive accountability.
  • Standardize NA Production Global Rewards Framework for Supply Chain. Understanding best practices, local and federal compliance and business training needs implement a new compensation framework that aligns with our job codes and career ladders.

Education: Pursuing a Master's degree in Human Resource Management, I-O Psychology, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university

Required Skills/Training:
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong data and analytics acumen and proven experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to lead initiatives as well as contribute as a team member
  • Sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Effective prioritization and project management skills
  • Ability to excel in a multi-cultural, fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills
