At Project Lead The Way, we are empowering students to thrive in an evolving world. We create an engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empower preK-12 students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills through our pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science.

As Business Operations Intern at PLTW you will have the opportunity to gain meaningful experience across the Purchasing function in key areas such as:

  • PLTW Web Store support
  • Purchasing workflow and process improvement
  • Procurement strategy and vendor relations
  • Customer problem resolution
  • Learning to triage and escalate issues
  • Data entry and analytics

You will work directly with our Business Operations (Purchasing) team to support a variety of projects and initiatives and you will play a key role in our day-to-day operations. We will look to you to contribute new ideas and insight as a valued member of our team.

This is a full-time paid internship. The internship will last approximately 10 weeks (we will work with your college schedule) beginning in mid-May and ending in August. This internship is located at our Indianapolis, IN office. Housing assistance is not provided for this position.

As an Intern at PLTW you will:

  • Have direct exposure to our Senior Leaders and opportunities to learn from them about the business functions they lead
  • Participate in meaningful projects that directly impact our business and relate to your field of study
  • Spend time with our other summer interns in a weekly meeting designed to offer additional learning opportunities and support to your experience
  • Have the support of a dedicated Internship Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
  • Student pursuing a degree in purchasing, supply chain management, business or a related field
Skills and Abilities
  • Great Interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
