Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.
The Human Resources Intern will take part in meetings within Human Resources (HR Joint Operations) and Operations(Patient Services; some 1:1 meetings with Directors, Manager Interviews, etc.). The Human Resources Intern will track and analyze both quantitative turnover data and qualitative data from interviews and direct observations. They may participate in leader development (Manager Intensives) and culture-focused events and activities. The Human Resources intern may assist with office responsibilities within Human Resources including covering the reception area.

Demonstrates a basic understanding of organizational project management practices and tools. Researches business related data and generates and interprets basic analytics. Collaborates with departmental associates and management.
The Human Resources Intern will work directly with the Fargo Market based HR Business Solutions team on strategic initiatives focused on the retention and engagement of front-line managers. The intern will be working with data and leaders to determine opportunities to reduce/prevent turnover and help create retention plans.
Work environment - 45th street Business Center (HR) and will need to go to both hospitals and clinics for this internship.
- Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to form relationships quickly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience in Qualitative Analysis preferred
- Human Resources or IO Psych Majors preferred
