We're currently accepting applications for a spring intern (January-May) to work with our healthcare team in our Newburyport office. A Matter intern will learn about business and public relations/social media programs. The intern will work with client teams to lay the foundation for successful public relations and marketing communications programs. You will perform work that is vital to colleagues and clients. As part of the Matter team, you should be prepared to work hard and make contributions that directly affect the success of the team.
This is a paid internship position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Media scanning
- Research (client and media)
- Media lists (create, update, etc.)
- Writing (press material and pitches)
- Reports (client and team)
- Ad hoc projects
- A recent college graduate or junior/senior college student
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Availability to work at least 15 hours a week, but no more than 20 hours.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn public relations
- Attention to detail
