Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities: The international marketing and publicity intern will gain a broad exposure to the international publishing process as well as be responsible for assisting in various marketing and publicity functions within the international export sales team.
  • Help to implement promotional campaigns (primarily digital)
  • Assist with international, Amazon marketing campaigns/advertising
  • Assist in adapting press releases and other copy for an international audience
  • Collate manuscript excerpts for use in media placement
  • Assist in crafting unique pitch angles for key, upcoming title releases
  • Assist in crafting and creating messaging for ads and other marketing collateral
  • Assist in international mailings
  • Conduct metadata analysis for key, new releases on international websites

Qualifications

Required Status: Must be a Fall 2020 College Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student

Knowledge
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of social media and its marketing functionality
  • Research skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with good use of tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong knowledge of English grammar and usage
  • Canva design experience a plus
Work Experience:
Prior work, intern or project experience within the communications, publicity and/or marketing fields is strongly preferred.
Education: In pursuit of a BA/BBA in marketing, communications or public relations

Industry Knowledge: Candidates should have a working knowledge of how marketing, public relations and sales work together. General understanding of the Christian market and/or publishing is a plus, but not required
