Job description:
Students in this position will work as part of a product R&D engineering team located in the Dallas/Irving/Coppell area that is responsible for new product development of next generation wireless infrastructure hardware for Small Cell and 5G cellular products. The HWI&V team focuses on the integration and verification of 5G Radio products.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Work will primarily be in a laboratory environment and intern should be experienced with creating software scripts and/or coding interfacing with Hardware, preferably with Python or similar scripting languages. Candidate should also be experience with or comfortable learning to use RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal generators, and/or Network Analyzers

Interns will assist engineers with verification of new product design, debugging 5G prototypes HW, and implementing code to automate test procedures.
Student Qualifications:

Must be enrolled as a full-time student for Fall 2020

Must be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college/university.
Intern should be familiar with creating content in Microsoft Office apps including Word and Excel.

All staff are expected to adhere to Nokia engineering processes, including the maintenance of accurate documentation.

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
  • Previous work/lab experience with hardware/software implementation, integration, and verification
  • Experience in the use of test equipment such as digital oscilloscopes and signal analyzers or generators.
  • Familiarity with various automation/coding platforms, such as C, C++, and/or Python
