Junior Enterprise Architect

Activities

  • Gather data to analyze systems and systems architecture
  • Support the assessment and deployment of tools to create and publish architecture; including research, collecting requirements and analyzing functionality; following up on actions; and planning/managing configuration
  • Architecture modeling support, including learning the tool, helping users troubleshoot, and updating tooling artifacts such as a user access checklist and tooling SOP
  • Partner with architecture segment experts to model current state and solution architecture
  • Interview stakeholders and experts to draft planning and analysis artifacts
  • Work with program and project leaders to define and create the architectural depictions and documents, ensuring logical flow, and address all issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong interest in the software or IT profession

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with a variety of software programs and languages and has some experience in programming
  • Able to design and discuss system strategies for platform, applications and networks
  • Training or experience with Cameo Enterprise Architect/NoMagic or other UML modeling tool
  • Experience creating and/or using architecture to support design decisions, domain specific product architecture, architecture framework and reference models, and interoperability standards/methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF)
  • VA or other Federal Government experience
  • Familiarity with health records, health data products, or other health IT
